Candidates should have education and work experience relevant to the programs/courses in the Department of Applied Engineering and Technology Management at Indiana State University. Earned Doctorate preferred; ABD may be considered.
Current department needs include Mechanical Engineering Technology. Teaching will include undergraduate and graduate courses (including distance education courses), and assuming a leadership role in the department's degree programs.
Other responsibilities include serving on University committees, working on curriculum development, advising students academically, and performing appropriate scholarly research and professional service within the guidelines of the University.

Required Education: Candidates should have education and work experience relevant to the courses in Mechanical Engineering Technology. A Doctoral degree required and ABD will be considered.
Candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in the current Mechanical Engineering Technology program with a major commitment to teaching and research. Industrial experience is highly desirable.
Required Skills: Faculty members are expected to develop new courses, teach existing courses, and collaborate with other faculty in curriculum issues, articulate well with industry, contribute to the continuous improvement and outcome-based assessment of the program to maintain professional accreditation, value quality instruction, thrive in a collaborative environment of scholars, embrace experiential learning and community engagement in the educational experience, desire to mentor diverse students, and integrate multicultural content into their teaching. The individual must command excellent written and oral communication skills and must continually improve his/her teaching skills. Courses range from lecture & lab on campus to distance delivery, so candidates should have a proven record of teaching with all these methods.
Required Experience: It is preferred that all candidates will have relevant industrial experience that will enable the candidate to bring real-world examples to the classroom, and make it easier for the candidate to conduct applied research in an area directly related to the teaching area.
Preferred Education: Earned doctorate by the date of application submission is preferred.
Preferred Skills: It is preferred that candidates have relevant skills developed through experience in industry, and proven skills in teaching in appropriate subject areas.
Preferred Experience: Proven relevant teaching record is preferred.
