Postdoctoral Fellow, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
The University of Nevada, Reno is requesting applications for four (3) Postdoctoral Fellow positions in the laboratory of Dr. John Cushman in the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno. The successful candidates will perform research in genomics and biochemistry of Crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM). Our objectives are to define the genetic basis of CAM using 'omics technologies, characterize the regulation of various CAM modules using network modeling, deploy these modules to C3 species, and analyze their effect on biomass production and water use efficiency in target species.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in a molecular life science field and a solid background in molecular biology,
biochemistry, and/or functional genomics.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with genomics, molecular cloning and gene expression, and metabolomics in plants is an asset but not
required.
