IT System Administrator and Data Manager
The IT System Administrator and Data Manager position involves system administration, network security, software development, and data management, as well as, hands-on implementation of IT projects at the NEES experimental facilities at UNR. The position also entails the following: UNIX/Linux tools and services such as Apache, Postfix, iptables, MySQL, Perl, HTML, XML, JavaScript, PHP and CSS. The incumbent will identify and solve problems, provide assistance and training to system users, take initiative, and work independently and as part of a group. Some travel is required.
Salary-$50,000-$70,000

Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science related field and two years of
experience to include network system administration using UNIX/Linux. Computer programming experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to develop computer programs using various languages and development environments including LabView.
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to improvise. Managerial experience.
