Defensive Coordinator - Assistant Football Coach
The Defensive Coordinator will report to the Head Football Coach and be responsible for all aspects of coaching the defensive units. This is including, but not limited to, management of assistant coaches and staff, recruiting, preparation and practice management, compliance with all NCAA and Mountain West Conference rules and student-athlete welfare. In conjunction with the Head Coach, the Defensive Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and working with the academic support services staff in fostering academic success for all student-athletes, including academic progress, improving APR compliance, graduation rates and retention of student-athletes. In addition, the Defensive Coordinator may be assigned other duties as deemed necessary by the Head Coach.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, successful coaching experience in Division I football and/or professional or equivalent level, of coaching football. Preference of 10 years of Division I coaching experience and/or holding the position of defensive coordinator.
Commensurate with coaching experience.
