The City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) District 508, is the largest community college system in Illinois and one of the largest in the nation, with 5,800 faculty and staff serving 120,000 students at seven campuses and thirteen satellite sites city-wide. The City Colleges of Chicago is currently in the midst of a collaborative effort to review and revise CCC programs and practices to ensure students leave CCC college-ready, career-ready and prepared to pursue their life's goals.

CCC includes seven colleges: Richard J. Daley College, Kennedy-King College, Malcolm X College, Olive-Harvey College, Harry S Truman College, Harold Washington College and Wilbur Wright College. The system also oversees: the Washburne Culinary Institute, the French Pastry School, two restaurants, five Child Development Centers, the Center for Distance learning, the Workforce Institute, the public broadcast station WYCC-TV Channel 20 and radio station WKKC-FM 89.3FM.

Duties
This position is primarily responsible for supervising the college's computing, operational and media services efforts.

Manages and oversees college-wide computing and operational support, and media services. Oversees assignment of technical subject matter experts to resolve system, application, hardware and media issues. Collaborates with network and application support teams to identify and correct problems. Coordinates with the Director of IT, support team and other departments to develop and review customer service level agreements and performance measurements. Oversees physical technology assets and manages inventory and disposal of assets. Prepares plans for ongoing equipment refresh. Manages the implementation and configuration of equipment refresh projects.

Develops and generates reports to determine work assignment and problem trends. Performs team management, career development, training, and on-boarding, and participates in hiring decisions. Assists with other college initiatives, such as, but not limited to, registration, as needed.

Completes other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, adherence to after hours, emergency, holiday and/or on-call schedule.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business or related field supplemented by four to six years of IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a history of progressively increasing responsibility and accomplishments, preferably, in a college or comparable academic setting.

Ability to supervise and evaluate the work of subordinate staff; to develop and interpret policies, rules, procedures, and/or applicable laws, and make decisions in alignment thereof. Ability to establish service level agreements; and to be self-directed and innovative, and assess current operations in an effort to improve the future goals of the District. Sound verbal and written communication skills. Great team player and self-starter.
