Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is expected to be aware of emerging trends in the discipline subfields and pedagogical developments. Successful candidates will be expected to teach introductory and upper-level courses in research methodology, public policy, international relations, and other specialty areas. The candidate is also expected to promote faculty development, scholarly research, sponsored research, and learning opportunities for students, particularly with a focus on research methodology.
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in political science and have a substantial record of teaching, research, and service which qualifies the applicant for appointment on a tenure-track position. A subfield in research methodology is a plus. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and should demonstrate the ability to establish ties with community groups and the alumni.
