This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsJob Description: Reporting to the Director of CSN Library Services, the Instructional Services Librarian provides quality reference and research assistance to students and faculty in a busy campus library environment; works collaboratively with departmental faculty to integrate information competency skills and targeted resources into classroom and learning management system coursework; designs and creates instructional methods and materials to support students of varying skill levels across the curriculum; participates in active assessment of library instructional goals and related student success initiatives across the College;provides acquisitions support in several disciplines; participates in Library Instructional Services/Technology Team initiatives.

MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited program from a regionally accredited college or university. Related experience in libraries with demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology trends, standards and issues in academic libraries, and demonstrated experience using instructional technology. As a tenure track librarian, the candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively within a library team environment, to build partnerships with faculty across the College, to engage in professional development, and to provide service to the College, community, and the profession in accordance with standards for tenure and promotion.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity delivering effective instructional content using learning management systems, experience creating content using instructional technology, and experience teaching within a formal information literacy program. Experience working with a diverse population of students and staff.
