This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsJob Description: The Director of College Library Services is responsible for the management and supervision of three campus libraries serving approximately 40,000 students. The Director's responsibilities will include managing the development of Library services, personnel, and collections, with particular emphasis on the development of resources and programs in support of information literacy across a dynamic curriculum. The Director will provide the vision and creativity needed to lead strategic planning for resources, student focused public services, instruction, and library facilities. The director will collaborate with various college leaders to help advance the college's efforts to increase student success. The director reports to one of the Associate Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs at CSN.
1.) Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited program
2.) Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience working in a library within a college or university setting.
3.) Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience serving in a leadership role within a library in a college or university setting.
4.) Demonstrated excellence in oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
5.) Demonstrated success in building collaborative professional relationships with a diverse body of students, faculty and staff within a college environment.

1.) Second graduate degree in any field (in addition to a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science) from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university.
2.) Four or more years as a Director or Dean of an academic library in a college or university setting.
3.) Experience managing a comprehensive library budget.
4.) Experience leading efforts to integrate technology in an academic library to support teaching, learning, and scholarship.
5.) Experience with assessment tools and techniques.
6.) Evidence of innovative thinking and professional engagement through presentations and/or publications.
7.) Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and manage multiple projects at the same time.
