Truckee Meadows Community College is a growing, multi-campus institution that serves the diverse population of Northern Nevada. Serving the Reno-Sparks area since 1971, TMCC's student body exceeds 13,000 students with an FTE of 7,000 at 35 sites throughout Washoe County. TMCC has an operating budget over $70 million for 2011 - 2012. Students are enrolled in college transfer, occupational, developmental, business, and community service classes. Courses are available at night and on the weekends and the majority of students attend part-time. TMCC is located in Reno, Nevada, an area rich with outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, biking, skiing, fishing, boating and much more. Reno is located in a beautiful environment within the Great Basin with the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the West, within 40 minutes of Lake Tahoe, and in proximity of the San Francisco Bay Area. Three national parks (Yosemite, Lassen, and Death Valley) are within easy driving distance.
This is a full-time, non-tenure track, administrative position reporting to the Director of Admissions and Records at Truckee Meadows Community College.

Starting at $73,196 . Salary is dependent upon education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
2. Five years of experience related to admissions and records in a post-secondary institution.
3. Five years of technical experience working with an automated student records system.
4. Three years supervision experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
2. Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
3. Experience working with OnBase document imaging system.
4. Three years experience in PeopleSoft.

Position Description:
Reporting directly to the Director of Admissions and Records, the Assistant Director provides leadership and support to Admissions and Records operations and services. This includes the supervision of five to seven full-time classified and professional staff in managing services for the department such as outgoing transcript processing, transfer credit evaluation and graduation processing; and maintenance of the College course catalog.

The Assistant Director works closely with a variety of departments to ensure the integrity of institutional student data for federal and state reporting as well as for business processes. The Assistant Director will assist in providing direction and advice to resolve data discrepancies. This includes recommending and developing data validation rules and processes.
