Salary Range: Min $73,500 - Mid $100,000
University of Maryland University College (UMUC) seeks a Program Director for its Program Director, Digital Forensics Program/Collegiate Faculty in the Graduate School of Management and Technology. The new Program Director will join one of the largest online institutions in the world. UMUC is one of 11 degree-granting institutions in the University System of Maryland (USM). Working adults, military personnel, and other students around the globe are achieving their academic goals through UMUC's innovative educational options, including online instruction, accelerated academic programs, and classroom-based courses taught during the daytime, evenings, and weekends. In 2009, UMUC had over 196,000 online course enrollments.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Assist in the continuing development, promotion and direction of the MS in Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigation degree program. Responsibilities include administering and developing courses; recruiting and monitoring faculty; teaching and advising students; facilitating seminars; and performing other job-related assignments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a relevant terminal degree, preferably a Doctorate; a minimum of three years of successful teaching experience (preferably at the graduate level and with adult, part-time students established in careers); and at least five years of relevant managerial or professional work experience. Evidence of a relevant scholarly or professional background is also preferred. Position requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Salary is commensurate with experience and faculty rank. Rank (Collegiate Assistant Professor, Collegiate Associate Professor, Collegiate Professor) to be awarded based upon qualifications at the time of appointment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in online distance education is preferred.
