ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY. Wingate University, a private residential university with a liberal arts core located near Charlotte, North Carolina, announces a full-time, continuing position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Biology beginning in August 2013. Teaching responsibilities include an upper-level Microbiology lecture and laboratory along with an Introductory Cellular and Molecular Biology course for Biology and Pre-health professional majors. The applicant is also expected to offer upper-level courses in his / her area of expertise. Applicants with a Ph.D. in Microbiology or a related field are encouraged to apply and all degree requirements should be completed by the start date. A strong commitment to undergraduate research is required and participation in undergraduate research is expected.
