ROLE of the POSITION
This is a full-time 12-month position in the Office of Information Technology.
This position will provide application development and support to the Software Engineering Services group in the Office of Information Technology. The incumbent will work with clients to understand requirements that originate from business rules and functional specifications, produce and document designs for custom applications, translate the designs into finished application products, develop testing plans and provide technical and customer-oriented documentation.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
The successful candidate will possess good organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Computer Science or Management and Information Systems degree preferred.
One year of experience in software development using industry standard software development coding languages and methodologies.
Additional experience with any of the following: VB.NET or C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, .NET Framework, Java, Oracle, PL/SQL, PeopleCode.
Experience working in Higher Education is preferred.
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
