Business Development - West Coast

Responsible for development of West Coast Territory.
Accountable for supporting all Business Development team activities including: generating new revenue through cold calling, prospecting, sales, account management and marketing.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing across all divisions and levels of management internally; as well as with current and potential customers.
Provides support to both internal and external customers.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field required along with established experience and successful track record in new business development.
Ability to work from and be highly productive from a West Coast based home office.
Ability to travel up to 50% within West Coast territory and as needed to Chicago.
Knowledge of various types of research provided in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) a plus.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Working knowledge of contact management software, familiarity with ACT! a plus.
Must have strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
