This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsSalisbury University is seeking qualified, experienced applications for the position of Systems Administrator to join its team of professionals in the Information Technology Department.
Primary Job Duties: This individual will be responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting Microsoft Windows servers, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Blackboard Learn.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of computer experience working in a team environment.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is required. Experience with Blackboard Learn, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2007 (or later), and virtualization technologies is preferred. Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, VMware vSphere 5, and PowerShell experience is a plus.
The candidate must also demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral; have excellent analytical skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware related issues; and the ability to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment.
This is a full time regular professional exempt state position with a benefits package and will require some evening and weekend hours. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
