Park University seeks an experienced academic professional to take leadership of its developing program for the learning outcomes assessment (LOA). This individual will be instrumental in continuing the creation of an assessment model, as well as in integrating that model into the fabric of the institution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Director of Academic Assessment will:
Provide leadership in implementing all aspects of the Park University Assessment Plan;
Monitor and support academic units as they integrate LOA into program plans;
Engage in LOA research and development to ensure that Park stays on the cutting edge in the field;
Contribute to the Park cohort of the HLC Academy for the Assessment of Student Learning;
Support the Institution in all assessment-related aspects of accreditation (regional and specialized);
Collaborate with faculty development units to further the understanding of LOA;
Collaborate with Institutional Research;
Document assessment activities and results, and communicate assessment results to the University community;
Participate in policy development and implementation;
Serve on related University committees;
Supervise a small staff;
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in education, evaluation, instructional design, or related field;
Five years experience in post-secondary assessment activity;
Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses;
Demonstrated ability to communicate assessment results and to incorporate feedback for continuous improvement;
Demonstrated ability to assist in building a culture of assessment at a post-secondary institution; and
Must be academically qualified to teach in a Park University academic unit, and will teach at least one course per year.

The Director of Academic Assessment will report to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs.
