This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsJob Description: The School of Music at East Carolina University is seeking applications for an Administrative Support Associate. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Administrative Support Specialist by performing accounting duties. These duties include but are not limited to the following: monitor and reconcile private fund accounts and databases, maintain SoM scholarship accounts, deposit funds, process invoices, travel reimbursements, student, casual employee and visiting artist contracts, I-9's and EPAFs and be responsible for camp financials. This person will also provide clerical assistance to the Associate Director and Academic Advisor. In addition, this position will be the main point of contact in the absence of the receptionist.
The successful candidate will be a committed team player, be attentive to detail and self-motivated. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential.
An associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance, experience with university systems and working knowledge of travel reimbursement, purchasing, student payroll rules and regulations, EPAFs and I-9's are preferred.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Self Service Banner, Internet Native Banner, Filemaker Pro, Xtender, and PORT.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
Salary Grade Equivalent: 59(for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
