GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat has experienced significant growth over the past few years. As the global arbiter of tall building height and data, further development of the Tall Building Database, Research Database, and CTBUH website is required. The Website Developer will lead the next stage of development of the Council's websites, and in particular the global Tall Buildings Database and an envisioned new Research Database.
Key Responsibility 1
Develop, oversee and maintain the main CTBUH website
Key Responsibility 2
Further develop and enhance the CTBUH Skyscraper Center website
Key Responsibility 3
Liaison with decision-makers to recommend, develop and support web solutions
Key Responsibility 4
Create policies and procedures or staff involved with web editing
Key Responsibility 5
General IT support of CTBUH computers and servers
Key Responsibility 6
Work with and support CTBUH team in other areas
Communications:
In developing database systems and website, all type of communications will be involved - verbal, written and electronic. Creativity in visual graphic representation and coordinating efforts and work with the graphics team is essential.
Customer Service:
This position will serve the global tall building industry through oversight of the design evolution, growth, operation and maintenance of a graphically and functionally excellent Skyscraper Center (the tall building research database) system and website.
Education & Experience:
Minimum = Bachelors degree
Preferred = Master's degree
Building industry background (and Tall Building Industry background) a plus
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency (2-4 years experience) in both front end (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and back end (.NET/PHP) development;
Experience with MSSQL;
Working knowledge of DotNetNuke would be beneficial;
Knowledge of networking configuration and deployment;
Knowledge of MicroSoft Active Directory and Group Policy;
Good organization, writing and communication skills a must.
