Although the Part-time Video Conference Room Facilitator, Instructional Services reports to the Director, Library and Instructional Support Services, Davie Campus, the majority of the work will be on the Davidson campus with some work at other DCCC locations.

Responsibilities:

Assists video conferencing faculty with classroom management concerns, including but not limited to the following:

Facilitates the distribution of materials

Discusses assigned duties with faculty in order to coordinate instructional efforts

Proctors tests as needed

Serve as a positive role model for students

Acts as a liaison between faculty, director and students

Maintains classroom per Davidson County Community College's code of conduct

Provides technical support, including but not limited to the following:

Assists with initiating and closing the video conference classroom sessions

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:
Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution

Strong oral and written communication skills

Work collaboratively with others to create and accomplish a shared vision

Strong commitment to service

Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college

Effectiveness in the following College organizational competencies:

Qualifications Preferred:
Experience with video conferencing equipment

ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information and exercise good judgment; ease of mobility within the work environment and other areas of campus and College locations; travel between campus locations may be required; and effective use of all forms of communication including use of computers.

Salary Range:
$10.00 per hour based on candidate's experience, education, and the state budget
