Assistant Coach Football Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an NCAA Division I FCS member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
Responsibilities: Identifying and recruiting quality student-athletes; assisting with the organization and conduct of practices and competitions; promoting the welfare and academic progress of student-athletes; assisting with the daily administrative duties of the program; participating in fundraising and public relations activities; assisting with summer camps; ensuring compliance of the program with University, NCAA, and MVFC rules.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree, thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, technical knowledge of football and the demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge to the offensive line positions, at least 5 years of collegiate coaching experience with at least 1 year at the FCS or BCS level, and demonstrated recruiting ability.
This is a security-sensitive position; the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation, which includes a criminal background check, prior to any employment offer.
Appointment: 12-month term, full-time, salary commensurate with qualifications.
