University of Houston-Clear Lake invites applications and nominations for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Education (Qualitative Research) starting Fall of 2013.

Major responsibilities include:(1) teaching undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses from areas such as qualitative research methodology and program evaluation,(2) developing curriculum,(3) maintaining an active research and publication agenda, (4) supervising graduate students in a variety of settings, (5) serving on master's theses and doctoral dissertations, (6)serving on university committees and other service activities.

Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have an earned doctorate with primary interest in qualitative research design and assessment. A demonstrated record of research, scholarly publications and grant writing or a clear indication of potential success in these areas is required. Excellent oral communication skills in English are also required. Special consideration will be given to candidates with public school experience. Exceptional ABD candidates will receive consideration.

Preferred Requirements: Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching doctoral courses and serving on dissertation committees. Preference will be given to candidates with the credentials to teach in both research and another teaching field.
