DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

The Department of Chemistry of the University of British Columbia is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the Instructor I level starting July 1st, 2013.

This position requires a PhD in Chemistry as well as demonstrated excellence in and commitment to undergraduate teaching, ability to work independently, effective communications skills, demonstrated ability to supervise the work of others, promise of educational leadership, and proven potential for creating innovative instructional environments in both the undergraduate classroom and the laboratory. This position will include a combination of undergraduate laboratory supervision, chosen from the first through fourth year level, and classroom teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Organic Chemistry.
