This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsGoucher College's Welch Center for Graduate & Professional Studies is accepting applications for a part-time operations assistant to support the administrators, directors, and deans of the graduate programs. The operations assistant will be expected to work up to 10 hours per week for 48 weeks.
Reporting to the graduate student records administrator, the operations assistant will help to maintain student and faculty records, correspondence, handouts, and other materials; collect and enter data; maintain databases; prepare course offering sheets; and confirm faculty availability and scheduling. The assistant will also assist with events and meetings, including coordinating graduate committee meetings, recording and maintaining meeting minutes, and providing required follow up.
The preferred candidate will have an associate's degree, higher education experience, and event planning support. The candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and database management. Working knowledge of PowerCAMPUS is also preferred. The ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students, and prospective students; strong written and verbal communication; and exceptional customer service and attention to detail are required. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, multi-task and prioritize while staying organized, and show evidence of good judgment.
