Towson University is seeking a
dynamic Director of University Admissions to join an experienced and innovative Enrollment Management Team as the leader of the
undergraduate and graduate programs.
Responsibilities: The Director of University Admissions will seek to enroll
future Towson students who have a high probability of success and graduation. The Director of Admissions plays a vital role in the
Enrollment Management Team, ensuring continual pursuit of the University's mission and vision. The Director reports to the Associate Vice
President of Enrollment Management and leads an office of over thirty-five staff members. The position will interact with many
constituencies and partners throughout the campus. Specifically, the new Director will work closely with the Director of Undergraduate
Marketing, who oversees the daily tours, student tour guides, external communications and publications, events, and Recruitment Plus CRM.
Requirements: Master's degree and five years of progressive leadership experience in University Admissions,
including recruitment and enrollment planning and program development. Experience in: building and leading successful teams within and among
University departments; budget management; data gathering; analysis and assessment. Evidence of strong record of professional growth
activities. Ability to work effectively with faculty, deans, and department chairs. Understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals
of public higher education. Leadership abilities with experience in chairing committees, participating on task forces, building and leading
teams, and motivating/evaluating employees. Knowledge and/or experience with the application of data as it relates to recruitment and
admission in higher education. Commitment to equity and diversity. Understanding of the needs of educationally and economically
disadvantaged students. Excellent oral and written communication skills. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired
candidate and the results may impact employment.
Salary: Competitive salary and full university benefits that
