Lewis University, located 25 miles SW of Chicago, invites applications and nominations for the Assistant Professor, Political Science
position vacancy. As a Catholic and Lasallian institution, we serve a diverse population of over 6500 undergraduate and graduate students at
our main campus and our six satellite locations. Lewis University, sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, is a dynamic and growing
institution, nationally recognized by U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and Colleges of Distinction. This is a full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Political Science, more specifically American politics.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
- Teach 4 courses each semester, including courses in American National Government, State and Local Government, and a variety of politics courses such as the American Presidency, Legislative Process, Parties and Elections, and Public Opinions.
- Advising students.
