The University of Saint Francis, Fort Wayne, Indiana, seeks a full-time, tenure track assistant/associate professor starting August 2013. Required qualifications include: (1) Indiana licensed School Counselor, or license eligible in Indiana as a School Counselor; (2) earned doctorate in Counselor Education or a related field; and (3) at least 3-5 years school counselor experience in K-12 setting.

Desired qualifications include: earned doctorate from a CACREP accredited program; teaching experience at the graduate level; a working knowledge of the CACREP standards; a working knowledge of ASCA and ISCA training and program standards; competency in the use of technology and distance education; and training, experience, and/or certification related to other department areas of expertise (i.e., Behavior Analysis/Modification, Rehabilitation Counseling, Therapeutic Recreation).

Primary responsibilities include: teaching three courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate level; coordinating and supervising student practicum and internship placements for the School Counseling program; advising undergraduate and graduate students; complete duties to maintain accreditation through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs); ability to pursue scholarship following the Boyer model of scholarship; serving as committee member in the department and university; and Service to the university, school, department, and the community of Fort Wayne, Indiana
