This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsSt. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement position as Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor in Anthropology beginning in August 2013, pending budgetary approval. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a three-course load per semester in a range of lower and upper-level classes. Classes for the fall semester, 2013 include ANTH 101, Introduction to Anthropology (four field approach); ANTH 280, Archaeology and Prehistory, and ANTH 385, Seminar in Research Methods. PhD or ABD in anthropology or archaeology is required. Preference will be given to applicants with a focus on the Atlantic World or the African Atlantic.
