This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsSt. Mary's College of Maryland Department of Theater, Film, and Media Studies ( www.smcm.edu/tfms) invites applications for a one-year visiting faculty position in film and media studies to begin fall 2013, pending budgetary approval. We are searching for an instructor of digital filmmaking with expertise in teaching both documentary and narrative filmmaking. Candidates with additional experience in animation or experimental filmmaking are also encouraged to apply. Ability to teach film and media studies courses, especially in screenwriting and/or world cinema, is preferred. Teaching experience, particularly in a liberal arts context, is highly desirable. An M.F.A., other terminal degree, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
