This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsJob Summary: Ensures that undergraduate majors in the Department of Applied Health Science have access to excellent advising at all stages of their academic careers. Provides information on the Applied Health Science undergraduate programs to a variety of audiences, including prospective students and their parents, other advisors, transfer students, and administrative staff.

REQUIRED: Master's degree and one year of academic advising experience.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Outlook with ability to learn IU systems. Good communication and listening skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team; and ability to work with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. Ability to maintain a complex appointment schedule in an environment of shifting priorities and information requests.
Preferred: Knowledge of IU advising systems and experience in career advising.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates with previous advisory experience in a complex academic environment like that at Indiana University-Bloomington.
