- Supervise all training activities
- Supervise the design of new training courses
- Supervise the training staff. Conduct Performance Evaluations. Document and conduct employee consultations as necessary
- Forecast short range and long range training requirements
- Supervise all training records
- Supervise the applications for program approvals to different states and organizations
- Prepare training reports on all programs
- Establishes, implements and maintains policies and procedures manual for all training activities
- Teach Academy classes as needed
- Develops and recommends budget. Authorizes expenditures in accordance with budget. Approves expense, petty cash reports and reimbursements
- Ensures that the duties, responsibilities and authority of each subordinate are clearly defined and adequately communicated
- Assures that qualified personnel are selected and trained to perform functions of the training academy
- Monitors performance of direct reports. Provides prompt and effective coaching and counseling. Conducts annual performance reviews of direct reports
- Assures that effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility. Conducts employee discussion sessions at regular intervals
- Consults with all company management responsible for policy or action. Makes recommendation for improving productivity and effectiveness
- Meet with clients and prospective clients as assigned
- Attend meetings with clients, trade associations and represent the company as assigned
- Maintain applicable certifications by attending training sessions as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Master Code Professional (MCP) or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in municipal code enforcement or in secondary education or minimum of 5 years of experience in adult educational training development
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Intermediate computer ability in Microsoft Office Suite or e-learning
