Office of Innovation for Education: The Office of Innovation for Education (OIE) was established to support new thinking, investigate new practices, and connect education stakeholders with new platforms and tools for more effective and personalized instruction. Innovation is essential to creating and sustaining a culture of performance necessary to accelerate problem solving that can, in turn, increase students' college and career readiness and success. Innovation alone does not solve problems. The OIE was established to connect innovators, educators and diverse education stakeholders to advance education and success for all students.
The individual selected for this position will be expected to possess the following required qualifications:
1. An earned Masters of Science in statistics and research or related field,
2. Three or more years programming experience in SAS or related statistical software,
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
4. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet occasional challenging deadlines.
5. Ability to attend to detail and accuracy, and
6. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Overall Purpose/Job Objective:
The Office of Innovation for Education in the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, invites nominations and applications for the position of Research Associate. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track provisional position.
The individual selected to fill this position will be expected to engage in the following duties and responsibilities: (1) assist the Director in developing, promoting and completing research and other projects, (2) use large scale datasets to analyze factors to inform comprehensive strategic planning, (3) collaborate with a team to synthesize findings from evidence-based research and statewide data analytics for dissemination in written and oral presentations, and (4) contribute to research and data collection design to accomplish the research agenda of the OIE, among other projects as assigned.
This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track position with full benefits. The salary will be commensurate with experience and educational background.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:
1. ABD or PhD or equivalent experience in educational statistics and/or data use.
2. Five or more years of experience with K-12 statewide education data.
3. Five or more years of experience programming in SAS or related statistical software.
4. Knowledge of and/or experience implementing qualitative research methods.
5. Knowledge and/or experience in aspects of program evaluation and strategic planning.
