This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsKnox College invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of the Joseph and Diane Bastian Center for Career and Pre-Professional Development. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Assistant Dean/Director of the Bastian Center for Career and Pre-Professional Development with an expected start date of July 1, 2013.
The Assistant Director will collaborate with the Director to provide direction, strategic planning and goal setting, programming, and delivery and evaluation of comprehensive career and internship services. The Assistant Director will engage alumni in providing networks and support to undergraduates; develop and cultivate internships and full-time opportunities with employers, alumni and parents; establish innovative programming to advance the career development of students; and serve as an integral team member in the Center. We seek an individual with vision and energy who will work collaboratively to create a forward-looking career services program for the 21st century.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with at least three years of previous experience in a related field, Master's Degree preferred; exceptional interpersonal communication skills; ability to develop excellent rapport with students; demonstrated ability to create and conduct educational programs or workshops to facilitate learning and ability to work independently. Experience with and knowledge of career services, student development theory, student advisement or student services is highly desired.
