Posting Description: Provide critically important reporting, assessment, benchmarking, planning and public information
services to support and respond to the needs of the university by directing and overseeing activities in areas including: · Identifying,
planning and conducting analyses for university leadership and trustees; facilitating the collection of university-wide facts and figures
and reporting them to the government, other external agencies, and internal constituencies. Examples include the U.S. Department of
Education (including IPEDS), the Colorado Department of Higher Education, CU-Boulder Administration (e.g. Chancellor, Provost, Faculty
Assembly), and CU President's Office/CU System requests. In addition, represent CU-Boulder to AAUDE, the AAU data exchange. · Working with
Institutional Research and other technical staff, identify data sources, and collect and maintain data to support the decision
making/reporting requirements of the institution. · Using the data described above and other appropriate data sources, provide information
to support decision-making processes (in particular, enrollment management and academic structure), fulfill the various regulatory/other
reporting requirements of the institution, and support institutional responses to media requests. · Provide direction and administrative
management in all aspects of the Institutional Research operation. Serve as the appointing authority and oversee all personnel actions for
the Institutional Research area. This includes managing a staff of up to 12 full-time and part-time employees. Facilitate a culture of
continuous learning through strategic planning, innovative best practices, and the promotion of knowledge development. · Keep current in
knowledge about issues affecting the university, including internal and external events, discussions and concerns, and alert others to these

*Minimum Requirements:* · Five years of experience in institutional research, including a management/leadership role in higher education. · An advanced degree or equivalent work experience. · Experience with data collection and management, quantitative and qualitative research methods, statistics, and large and varied datasets. · Experience with and knowledge of a university student information system. · Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other standard office applications.
Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and abilities: · Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across the university and to communicate data and analyses to a wide range of audiences. · Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity, priority and length. · Excellent oral and written communication skills, as demonstrated by the ability to articulate ideas, thoughts, and information in a logical manner and sequence to summarize complex issues clearly, succinctly and efficiently, including use of visualizations and graphics.
Desired Qualifications: *Preferred Qualifications:* · PhD in related field. · Eight years of relevant experience in a higher education management/leadership role, in particular leading a multi-staff office. · Experience with the Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions student information system. · Experience with human resources, payroll, grant and contract, accounting, and/or other university transactional data systems. · A minimum of five years of experience with data manipulation, query, and statistical analysis software (SAS strongly preferred). · Thorough knowledge of and rich experience developing and administering surveys, and analyzing and presenting survey results. · Experience with institutional accreditation, assessment, and program evaluation. · Experience with enrollment management concepts and analyses.
