We seek a Visiting Instructor in Sociology for the 2013-14 academic year. Specialization is open, but preference will be given to those with teaching and research focus on one or more of the following topics: media studies, social inequalities, race and ethnicity, gender and sexualities, quantitative and qualitative methods, and social theory. We seek candidates with demonstrated teaching excellence; Ph.D. or ABD required. Course load includes one or two sections of an introductory course, and upper division courses in areas of specialization.

Applications should include a cover letter detailing teaching and research interests, as well as a c.v., dissertation abstract, and three letters of recommendation. Additional materials such as sample syllabi, course descriptions, teaching evaluations, and statement of teaching philosophy are welcome but not required.
