PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience
The Park Aging Mind Lab (directed by Denise Park) has a position available for a postdoctoral fellow. The lab is located in a state-of-the-art research facility with excellent access to both MRI and PET scanners. The laboratory is focused on the cognitive neuroscience of aging. The fellow will be free to pursue a broad range of topics and interests within this domain with access to a large, already-collected data set : the Dallas Lifespan Brain Study. Intervention research is also a topic of interest. The postdoctoral fellow would pursue research in domains that include the functional imaging of age change and age differences in cognition across the lifespan, amyloid imaging in healthy adults, and imaging neurocognitive facilitation through cognitive and lifestyle interventions. Other areas to which the fellow could direct research efforts include longitudinal change in neural structure and function, connectivity, multimodal imaging, and multivariate pattern analysis. The candidate must hold an earned PhD and have prior neuorimaging experience, preferably with fMRI or amyloid imaging with PET. Must have knowledge of and experience with a variety of statistical analysis packages.
Conduct experiments using advanced equipment & applying complex techniques, methods & procedures; plan & perform quantitative & qualitative research procedures; plan & execute the details of experiments according to research protocol; other duties as assigned.
Supervision of three (3) Research Assistants.
