Assistant Director I

UNT Sustainability will collaborate with the UNT family and its partners to generate cohesion, provide information and support, and encourage behavior change to address environmental, economic, and social challenges.
The Assistant Director I works closely with the Director of UNT Sustainability to undertake and facilitate sustainability-oriented activities related to university operations, manages compliance reporting for the ACUPCC, oversees the We Mean Green Fund, and leads business/community engagement programs.
The Assistant Director will work with various stakeholders on and off campus to conduct project feasibility studies, improve data collection and analysis, identify and attain external funding, foster the development of metrics to evaluate overall efficiency and effectiveness, and build mutually beneficial relationships in the realm of sustainability.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and three years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid Texas Drivers License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
LEED accreditation, knowledge of sustainability in organizations, experience in organizational operations, urban design, and/or sustainability sciences.
