The University of New Mexico is located in the Land of Enchantment.
The Land:
New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, offers a unique environment and a highly diverse population. Our many cultures, along with a civilized history that predates the thirteen colonies, make us historically unique. Azure skies and a sun that shines 310 days a year, plentiful ski opportunities, deep white snow, the blooming desert, and the lush Rio Grande Valley clarify why New Mexico is known as the "Land of Enchantment".
The Place:
The University of New Mexico has campuses in Albuquerque, Gallup, Los Alamos, Taos and Valencia County. In addition, UNM offers graduate and upper division programs in Los Alamos and Santa Fe and throughout the state. UNM's libraries, museums, galleries and Center for the Arts are a rich cultural resource for the state. UNM's Tamarind Institute is one of the premier printmaking workshops in the world. The Health Sciences Center is the largest integrated healthcare treatment and education complex in the state and has earned an international reputation for our ability to incorporate education, patient care, research programs and partnerships to address the unique health care needs of New Mexico's urban and rural populations. UNM is home to the Lobos and is part of the Mountain West conference. Lobo Athletics draw fans from all-over, and the University Arena, or, "The Pit" was ranked 13th by Sports Illustrated as one of the top 20 sports venues of the century.
The Reasons:
As an employer we offer a unique blend of quality of life, career development, family friendly benefits, life-long learning and a great retirement. Where else can you have it all?
