The Associate Dean for Teacher Education's office coordinates all programs for initial and advanced teacher education programs in the College of Education and across the university.

Job Description
The TK20 Unit Administrator develops and manages electronic databases that enable the production of reports needed for accreditation, strategic planning, program evaluation and research in the Teacher Education Unit. An important task is implementation of the TK20 database system, including development and implementation of training of faculty, university supervisors, and students. This position is responsible for assuring entry of assessment and student data, production of reports, and interaction with others to define, manage, and extend use of the system in the context of other tools also in use at UNT. The TK20 Unit Administrator supervises student workers who staff a help desk, assist with training, enter data, and performs other duties related to the operation of the accountability system.

The TK20 Unit Administrator job responsibilities include:

*Provide regular summary reports to the COE Assessment Committee and the Teacher Education Council Assessment Committee
*Produce reports needed to TEA, NCATE, CACREP and other relevant accreditations of the COE and teacher education programs of the unit
*Develop and conduct training on the use of TK20 for classes and other groups of faculty (including adjunct faculty and university field site supervisors), students, and staff
*Organize, staff, and annually evaluate a TK20 help desk that provides information as needed to users
*In collaboration with technical staff, assure useful, well-defined downloads of EIS data
*Communication with TK20 personnel to ensure accuracy of data specifications and assessment configurations
*Report on continuous improvement of assessment tolls using guidelines set by Teacher Education Council Assessment Committee
*Assure assessment data collection on key assessments from faculty each semester

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree and four years of office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

*Considerable knowledge of (or ability to rapidly assimilate and retain) University operating procedures, organization and policies.
*Thorough knowledge of business principles, practices and techniques.
*Knowledge of electronic information systems and accounting systems.
*Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.
*Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
*Ability to keep complex records; to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
*Strong ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
*Ability to act with considerable initiative.
*Supervisory skills.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Knowledge of safe working procedures and security measures related to work performed and work supervised.

Preferred Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree preferred
*Overall knowledge of teacher education programs and general assessment practices
*Experience working with online systems and applications
*Proficient in managing data and using Microsoft Excel
*Ability to communicate effectively with a large variety of assessment system users
*Ability to train system users including faculty, students, and adjuncts
*General knowledge of federal, state and professional agency reports and compliance
