Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing, the Dean plans and implements a comprehensive student engagement program which is well integrated with the mission and core values of New England College.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage departments that provide student learning and development, including: Student Involvement, Greek Life, Residential Life, Public Safety, and Wellness Center;
  • Supervise and administer all aspects of Student Development Services departments including the coordination of student programs and staff;
  • Formulate and develop student policies, making modifications as developments in higher education occur;
  • Represent the college in working with a wide range of individuals and organizations outside of the college, including parents, community members, and representatives of other institutions;
  • Oversee the development, implementation and administration of appropriate record keeping and reporting systems for Student Development Services departments;
  • Use customer relations management tools (CRM) and other data gathering to make data driven decisions;
  • Administer the student judicial system, student disciplinary procedures, and the code of conduct;
  • Provide leadership in and is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and regulations pertaining to student life, especially those related to alcohol and drug usage, student conduct and student residences;
  • Budget development and management for all revenue and expense areas in Student Development Services;
  • Working closely with the VP of Enrollment and Marketing, develop retention programs, returning student enrollment projections, and housing occupancy to be used in campus-wide budget creation;
  • Co-chair the Enrollment Management Group with the VP of Enrollment which identifies and acts on issues related to student engagement, at-risk populations, retention/persistence, and community building;
  • With the Assistant Vice President of Academic Initiatives, identify and develop new initiatives for student orientation, first-year student programs, engagement and culture.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Master's degree in higher education, business, or related field (Doctorate preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a variety of areas within student development
  • Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated budget creation and management skills
The Dean is required to reside in the town of Henniker, NH.
