Position Summary:
Student Information Analyst will serve as the technical expert of the Registrar's Office and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information in the Student Information System (CAMS). As a technical member, the Analyst will design reports, use statistical analyses and predictive modelling to assist the Institute in developing an effective Enrollment strategy, and assist with enhancing the utilization of technology in the Registrar's Office.

Main Duties:
·Coordinate with Registrar, CAMS Specialist, and IT in providing support and problem-solving.
·Work with complex data sets from the Student Information System to analyse, model, and forecast enrollment trends and issues.
·Monitor and develop online services provided by the Registrar's Office to students, staff, and faculty.
·Prepare procedure manuals and documentation for Registrar's Office services.
·Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of student status changes and other information contained in the Student Information System.
·Communicate with functional stakeholders on project initiatives.
·Prepare regular and adhoc reports.
·Prepare various reports, tables, and graphs, including narrative descriptions of research results for internal and external constituencies.
·Work with users to develop, implement, and maintain IT-based processes, including workflow, reporting, and analysis tools such as survey reporting, accreditation documentation, budget planning and tracking, etc.
·Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
·Detail-oriented person with demonstrated ability to prepare succinct statistical and written reports for a nontechnical audience.
·Three years of hands-on experience (higher education setting preferred) utilizing necessary software (i.e., SQL, PL/SQL, Java, HTML, MS Reporting Services, etc.).
·Must be invested in providing excellent customer service both inside and outside of the department.
The Petroleum Institute (PI) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates was created in 2001 with the goal of establishing itself as a recognized institution in engineering education and research in areas of significance to the oil and gas and the broader energy industries.

The PI’s sponsors include the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and four major other international oil companies, namely BP, Shell, Jodco, and Total.

The Institute is affiliated with and has collaborative programs in place with the Colorado School of Mines, the University of Maryland at College Park, the University of Minnesota, and Leoben and Linz Universities (Austria).
