The University of Louisville invites applications for tenure track faculty positions in the School of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Faculty rank (assistant, associate, or professor) is contingent upon qualifications and experience. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in pharmacology, toxicology, or related discipline, or M.D., and must provide evidence of potential to transfer or develop a vigorous and independently funded research program suitable for student research training. Primary responsibilities will be in research and student research training, although administrative duties (including Vice Chair) will be considered depending upon qualifications and interest. Exceptionally qualified faculty will be considered for appointment as University Scholar and/or appointment with immediate tenure. Faculty members with research interests in personalized medicine or research interests complementary to established interdisciplinary research centers are preferred and cross-appointment in one or more of the interdisciplinary research centers is anticipated. Since multiple positions are available, we will strongly consider the recruitment of a cluster of faculty members with a focus in personalized medicine or in a related research area.
