Provide instructional assistance to the Respiratory Care Program, function as a full-time faculty member, and actualize the goals/standards of the Program.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Provide classroom and clinical instruction for the program,using computer mediated classroom technology including: use existing programmatic material within the program curriculum, provide for indirect supervision of volunteer clinical faculty; and direct clinical supervision, teaching and evaluation of students.
B. Assist Program Director in the performance of yearly programmatic evaluations.
C. Function as a full-time faculty member within the program by carrying an appropriate teaching load.
D. Establish an ongoing partnership relationship with clinical facilities.
E. Interface with students, department, division, college and students in person and using computer technology.
F. Collaborative teaching with a team of peers.
G. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and at all off-campus sites.
H. Perform other duties as required.
A. Bachelors degree is required.
B. Teaching experience with preference to formal academic experience or graduate level course work in education.
C. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
D. Current Tennessee license or be licensure eligible.
E. Knowledge of the CoARC accreditation essentials.
F. Four years experience as a respiratory care practitioner.
G. Ability to work without supervision and meet deadlines.
H. Competency with computer technology including Microsoft office software products.
A. Masters degree is preferred.
B. Preference given to candidates with experience as an RRT.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
The primary job location will be the Greeneville/Greene County Campus in Greeneville, Tennessee. Travel to other WSCC campuses and clinical facilities will be required.
