Position Summary: The Learning Communities Coordinator (LCC) responsible for coordinating three living learning communities at UCO. These communities will involve faculty from various departments, Advising and Retention staff, and Housing. The LLC Coordinator will have primary responsibility for the delivery of a program designed to assist in the retention of students and the globalization of their educational experience.

Responsible for the selection, training, and supervision of 2-3 peer mentors and indirect supervision of 2 RAs.
Will build and sustain a positive collegial relationship with faculty and staff who have or who are interested in developing a learning community, and working with the university's overall goal of innovative practices in undergraduate education.
Will work in conjunction with academic advising, supporting New Student Enrollment efforts, and recruiting students to be involved in the learning communities.
Will assist in developing and completing the strategic direction of UCO's learning communities.
May instruct one section of UCO's Success Central Course which will be made up of Living Learning Community students.
Will be responsible for the overall assessment of the Learning Communities as well as preparing reports for Housing and Dining and the UCO Community.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Master's degree in Higher Education or related field. Two to four years of Residence Life experience and direct involvement in learning communities and/or residentially based academic programs.
