Morningside College is now accepting applications for the full time position of Programmer Analyst. The Programmer Analyst will work as a member of the Information Services team developing and supporting applications on the College's management information system.

The ideal applicant will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems
  • Three or more years of high-level application programming experience in a multi-valued/nested relational database environment
  • Experience developing and implementing a user training program
  • Experience in project management
  • Three or more years experience with business administration workflows and processes
  • Familiarity with Rocket Software's UniVerse Database environment
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, debug, and enhance existing database applications
  • Specify, design and program new database applications
  • Design and implement data connectors for external applications
  • Assist other department members with specific tasks as assigned
  • Provide analysis and trouble shooting of administrative software problems
  • Facilitate AIMS user training
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Other Qualifications:
  • Effective organizational, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to adhere to departmental programming and documentation standards
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with HTML and Web services programming (JSON, XML) and with Application Program Interfaces (e.g. ODBC) is a plus
