The School of Physical Therapy-Dallas at the Texas Woman's University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position beginning fall semester 2013 (preferred) at the rank of Assistant Professor (9-12 month Academic year appointment). The School of Physical Therapy, comprised of 11 experienced faculty members, is housed in the new Institute of Health Sciences - Dallas Center in the heart of the Dallas medical district. Equipped with state-of-the-art teaching and researching laboratories, the Institute features motion analysis, human performance, and exercise physiology research laboratories.

The candidate must have an earned post-professional doctoral degree in physical therapy or a related field, have 3 years of clinical experience, and be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Texas. Prior academic or clinical teaching experience and specialization are valued assets. Responsibilities will be in the area of clinical education as well as developing and teaching courses in both the professional and post-professional programs. A candidate with expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: clinical education, general therapeutic interventions, and research mentorship. The successful candidate must have or be able to establish a systematic program of research with potential for external funding.
