POSITION: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in the Family Therapy component- Tenure track, Department of Family Sciences, College of Professional Education, Texas Woman's University, Denton, Texas

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching theory, clinical, and research courses; providing clinical supervision; advising students in MS and PhD Family Therapy programs; advising and mentoring students; working with students on scholarly papers and dissertation committees; directing and conducting research and providing scholarly contributions through peer-reviewed publications and presentations; collaborating with colleagues; serving the university, the profession, and the community.

Required Qualifications for Assistant Professor: Earned doctorate in the discipline of Marriage and Family Therapy and eligible for MFT licensure in the State of Texas; potential for excellence in graduate instruction, evidence of successful teaching experience, and demonstrated clinical competence; strong potential for research and scholarship appropriate to the rank; documented professional MFT identity; documented professional experience with and/or competency when working with culturally diverse populations; and willingness to engage in community/university partnerships.

Required Qualifications for Associate Professor: Earned doctorate in the discipline of Marriage and Family Therapy and eligible for MFT licensure in the State of Texas; preferred eligibility for AAMFT approved supervisor; evidence of successful teaching experience and clinical competence; evidence of supervision experience; documented professional MFT identity; documented professional experience and competency in working with culturally diverse populations. Evidence of an established research agenda appropriate to rank; preferred evidence of directed dissertations; evidence of effective participation in service activities to advance department, college, university, profession, and/or community mission.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Texas Woman's University (TWU) is a teaching and doctoral research, public university with three campuses. The main campus is located on 270 acres in Denton, a city population of over 100,000 persons, 35 miles north of the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. The College of Professional Education is home to the departments of Family Sciences, Reading, and Teacher Education, and to the School of Library and Information Studies. Currently, there are 24 FTE faculty members in Family Sciences who teach in four program areas: Early Childhood Development & Education, Counseling & Development, Family Studies, and Family Therapy. In this department, clinical service/training components are provided through the Counseling and Family Therapy Clinic (CFTC) which services individuals, children, couples, groups, and families from the area. The Family Therapy component includes two major areas of study: doctoral (n=74) and master's students (n=76).

RANK AND SALARY: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, 9-month tenure track position. Salary is competitive with experience.
