The position is accountable for maintaining current and accurate accounting records by daily recording of all relevant transactions in accordance with GAAP, and prepares related reports.

- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 3 years of experience in accounting or financial auditing
- Customer-focused aptitude.
- Demonstrated analytical and communication skills - both written and oral
- Computer skill proficiency utilizing MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and produce accurate professional work products under timelines.
- Flexibility and willingness to periodically work extended workdays and occasional weekends as needed to meet desired objectives.

Master's degree and/or CPA designation

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and various income and expense accounts.

Prepare and process general ledger entries.

Process 1099s.

Prepare sales tax and motor fuel tax returns

Prepare motor fuel tax returns.

Assist with the following:
- Month-end close process.
- Various ad hoc reports.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Annual audit preparation.
