HARTFORD ART SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD seeks qualified applicants for the entry-level position of Assistant Professor in Painting/Drawing, tenure track, to begin Fall semester, 2010. MFA degree or equivalent experience required. The University of Hartford is an open and welcoming community, which values diversity in all its forms. The applicant should be a working artist with strong painting and drawing skills, theoretical understanding, knowledge of diverse cultural perspectives and accomplished exhibition record; and provide evidence of a broad range of teaching skills, including the ability to teach figure painting and drawing, color and non-representational practices, and teach all levels of classes ranging from first-year Foundation studies to advanced painting and drawing.

The Hartford Art School is a NASAD accredited professional program offering BFA and MFA degrees in studio art at the University of Hartford.
