This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsThe Department of Physics and Pre-Engineering (DPPE) at Delaware State University seeks outstanding applicants for a faculty position at the assistant professor level or above starting August 2012. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering. The successful candidate is expected to effectively teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels and assist in the development of the undergraduate programs of the department. Participation of the candidate in the research programs of the department is an important plus. The Department of Physics and Engineering is home to NSF funded Center for Research and Education in Optical Sciences and Applications (CREOSA) and to NASA funded Center for Applied Optics for Space Science (CAOSS).
