This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsThe Department of Communication at Regis College seeks one year Visiting Assistant Professor for academic year 2013-2014 who will serve as Department Chair for the spring 2014 semester. The position has the possibility of renewal based on faculty performance effectiveness and budget.
The Department of Communication in the School of Liberal Arts, Education and Social Sciences offers a BA and MS in Communication. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of organizational, interpersonal and/or intercultural communication; public speaking and the introductory course in communication or would teach courses in visual communication, video production and photography. The faculty member will teach a 4/3 load, advise students in the major, actively serve on School and College committees, and contribute to the college community life beyond the classroom, especially in conjunction with the College Yearbook. We are currently engaged in curriculum strategic planning within the Department, an area in which the successful applicant will be expected to participate.
Applicants are required have an earned Ph.D. in Communication. The ideal candidate will have prior teaching experience at the college/university level as well as experience or potential to serve as Department Chair.
