Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EE.

Preferred Qualifications
A music background is required in order to convey the essential nature of music study to prospective students. Candidate must also have current experience using Excel and Word, proven excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and with diverse groups, manage multiple priorities, and sound professional judgment are essential attributes. Prior admissions work is preferred.

Position Description
Coordinate admissions process and outreach efforts for new freshmen, transfer, and international undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Music. In consultation with the deans and faculty, develop recruitment strategies that enhance outreach efforts to attract and admit high calibre music students. Counsel and guide prospective students and their parents about academic programs, admissions policies and procedures, requirements, eligibility, and scholarship opportunities. Process incoming applications and supporting documents. Maintain confidential admission and financial aid applications and track prospective students in Excel. Organize, direct, and process annual auditions. Assist faculty with scholarship decisions. Organize and staff booth at professional conferences and other on- and off-campus recruiting events. Develop reports on statistics of student inquiries, auditions, new student profiles, etc. Administer prospective student surveys. Collect data and present admissions statistics. Assist with student orientation, testing, and registration activities. Make referrals to and work closely with university admissions personnel on admissions, transfer of academic credits and related duties. In all aspects there is close collaboration with the Associate Dean and Academic Advisor. This position involves some evening hours, weekend hours, and in- and out-of-state travel.
